Description
This is another one of Illinois Alpha’s skill workshops. The workshop focused on informing the motivation behind using git, on introducing a few important git commands, and on teaching the concepts of git management through pull requests. Attendees were required to bring their laptops to be able to participate in practicing git throughout the workshop.

Preparation & Administration
- Chose a date, time, and location for the event and reserve a room if necessary. Advertise to your members and remind them to bring a laptop.
- Our Professional Projects VP designed the workshop based on his own experience and what was/wasn’t covered in our University’s engineering curriculum. The event organizer will want to organize a 1 hour workshop covering the basics of git, walking the attendees through using it, and leaving time for questions.
