Description
Picnic socials are a great way for members and initiates to engage with each other. Attendees can bring their own food and snacks to share, so it is a very easy event for the chapter to plan.

- Food & snacks (attendees usually bring their own)
- Blankets

- None (if attendees bring their own food and somebody brings the blanket)
Preparation & Administration
- Pick a time and location for the event. Advertise to members.
- If you are not providing food, please make that clear to those who are planning on attending so they know to bring their own
- Coordinate who will bring some blankets if you aren’t using a location that has picnic tables
Additional Notes & Resources
- Pick a backup date or location in case of bad weather (Illinois Alpha had to learn this the hard way…)
